PSX2 is a ps2 emulator for pc. Emulators are dated gaming consoles, allowing users to play everything from SuperNintendo to GameCube games directly on their PC without the need of an actual console. This happens by reading the game’s disc image through special software using the computer as display and storage system. PS2 is a great emulator if u are using a powerful computer. PS2 emulator also provides support for lower end computers in order to view games working on their PC through PlayStation consoles. PS2 is a cross platform and runs on Windows and Linux operating systems.
We can use PS2 controllers with the help of PS2 emulators to simulate an authentic PlayStation experience. The application also gives you the ability to either run the games straight from the disc or as an ISO image from your hard drive. PS2 comes in 2 versions, the TLB(Translation Lookaside Buffer) and the VM (virtual memory) one. The TLB version is pcsx2t.exe while the VM version is pcsx2.exe. First try running the VM version, following the instructions were given (type your account user name, log off/on and restart). If PCSX2 still fails to allocate the memory, simply use the TLB version. Don’t worry – the speed difference is not that great. After that, the PCSX2 setup procedure is quite lengthy, although if your PlayStation 2 is broken, you’ll find this a more than adequate replacement.
